What do you use and why?

I’m on Windows, so no ProRes for me. My alternative of choice was Cineform since it works both on Windows and macOS.

I also gave DNxHD a try but it didn’t gave me good results.

I am also on Windows and I use ProRes codec (through LRTimelapse export pannel) and edit them in Premiere Pro/After Effects.
I also read on other forums that some timelapsers also use that “Cineform” codec. I didn’t find any way to find it on the internet. Can you send me an official link of this codec?

Install the GoPro app, it has the Cineform codec in it.
